The Fukito Ebène X50santoku knife is a versatile knife, useful for cutting fruit and vegetables, meat (boneless), fish and fresh herbs thanks to its slightly curved blade. Often compared to a chef 's knife, this model is widely used in Japan! Equip yourself with quality at the right price with this knife.
The blade of this Fukito knife is made of German X50CrMov15 stainless steel, an alloy particularly used in the professional sector for its many advantages. Its 15% chromium content makes it highly resistant to corrosion, which is a real plus in the kitchen. In addition, all its constituent elements are well-balanced: its vanadium content balances its carbon content to add "suppleness" and make it less brittle. Finally, we can mention its excellent edge durability combined with its ease of sharpening and its very good quality/price ratio.
This blade also benefits from vacuum heat treatment, because unlike standard heat treatment, it takes place in a protected atmosphere, free of all elements, to ensure that the blade is treated to its full potential. This process is therefore much more advantageous, as in standard heat treatment, certain elements present in the air can react with the metal, even during hardening.
The blade has a satin finish.
The stainless steel bolster connects the blade to the handle. Its gently sloping surface makes for a pleasant, natural grip on the handle.
The handle is made from a beautiful dark ebony wood. Often considered precious, this wood offers excellent resistance to intense use and humidity. Here, it has been polished to give a soft, pleasant feel, even over time. What's more, each handle is unique because wood is a living material: you'll never find the same nuances and veins from one piece to another.
The handle is joined to the blade by 3 rivets, ensuring a perfect fit between all components. The central rivet features a beautiful copper mosaic that contrasts perfectly with the color of the ebony.
The handle is completed by a stainless-steel cap at the end, providing an additional finish while balancing the knife's weight. Ambidextrous use.
All Fukito knives are delivered in an attractive magnetic box, making them the perfect gift! The box also allows for convenient storage after use.
Fukito knives are made in the Guangdong province of Western China. For decades, this area has been historically linked to knife production. Each Fukito knife is designed using techniques and materials that meet the manufacturing standards of French professionals in the agri-food sector.
Caring for your knife: we recommend hand-washing with a sponge and mild detergent. As soon as the knife is clean, wipe it immediately with a cloth to remove all traces of moisture, then store it. Dishwashing and soaking in the sink are not recommended.
Don't hesitate to equip your kitchen with Fukito knives!
