Description

TheShoso Kai Seki Magoroku knife gives you Japanese quality and design at an attractive price. It's part of a series of 10 models, a wide selection for a variety of cuts in the kitchen, and for everyday comfort.

This santoku knife is a versatile model, considered to be the Japanese-style chef's knife. Its slightly curved blade creates a natural rocking motion when cutting. It is available in several sizes :

- 14.5cm: blade length: 14.5cm; handle length: 12cm; total length: 27.5cm; blade height: 4.3cm; blade thickness: 2mm; weight: 130g

- 16.5cm : blade length: 16.5cm; handle length: 12cm; total length: 29.5cm; blade height: 4.4cm; blade thickness: 2mm; weight: 135g

The blade is made of 1K6 stainless steel, a solid alloy enriched with molybdenum and vanadium and 0.8% carbon, which achieves a hardness of 58 HRC on the Rockwell scale, an excellent ratio between edge life and ease of sharpening. The knife's convex cutting edge makes it pleasant for both right- and left-handed users to use over the long term. The knife is pre-sharpened in 3 stages to guarantee optimum cutting quality.

The handle is a perfect continuation of the blade, and is made of 18/8 stainless steel. It is hammered, and its convex shape fits naturally into the palm.

Perfect!

Very well balanced not used much but still sharp after two weeks and cuts well! I like the handle lightly brushed for a good grip but not too much to clean it easily. Thanks to Richard for the note with the engraving ;)

Very impressive knife. The cut is clean and extremely easy. The knife has a certain weight to it, but that doesn't bother me in the slightest. Good grip too. To be seen how long it lasts.
