Skærekniven er uundværlig i køkkenet. Dens lille, smalle blad er ideelt til at skære og skrælle små frugter og grøntsager. Den er også meget værdsat for sin manøvredygtighed!

Sabatier 's Petit office de ma grand-mère er et nik til den rustikke madlavning, men den tilpasser sig også kokkenes moderne behov. Simpelthen tidløst! Du vil føle dig lige så hjemme med dine udskæringer, som din bedstemor gjorde, da hun lavede mad (du kan stadig dufte det!).

Bladet er lavet af 8 cm kulstofstål. Fordelen ved kulstofstål er, at det slides langsommere end rustfrit stål og holder skæret længere! Men det gør det også meget modtageligt for korrosion. Derfor må det ikke efterlades i fugtige omgivelser (opvaskemaskiner er forbudt), og det skal tørres af med en klud efter hver vask. Det er også vigtigt at vide, at knivens farve med tiden uundgåeligt vil ændre sig (og der kan komme små pletter, bare rolig), afhængigt af luftfugtigheden eller surhedsgraden i den mad, der skæres i, men det er helt normalt! Hvis du vil være ekstra forsigtig, kan du smøre bladet med olie fra tid til anden.

Håndtaget er lavet af varmtonet, lakeret palisander med 2 messingnitter, som låser det halvsilke blad fast i træet. Palisander er et tæt, fugtbestandigt træ. Det ligger godt i hånden, både for højre- og venstrehåndede brugere.

A nice little knife with a carbon steel blade that needs a bit of attention unless you like the patina it will acquire with use, like the little knife my grandmother used to clean and peel her vegetables. Given the price, you can't go without. What's more, it's super-sharp and easy to sharpen with just a 15€ Opinel double-sided stone.
Good knife but not protected

I have nothing to say about the knife itself, it cuts very well and is very practical. However, from the very first use, the blade has oxidized enormously. Even though it hasn't been through the dishwasher, it has been washed by hand only, without any product, and dried immediately. It's as if no protective layer had been applied to the blade or the wood, which drinks a lot of water. After cutting tomatoes and leaving the knife aside for 10 minutes to finish the preparation, the blade turned black and small rust stains appeared... In conclusion, I don't know if all knives are like this or if mine is defective, but I must say that it's quite surprising coming from a SABATIER.
