Our advice for effective cleaning of your Italian coffee maker without damaging it:
First of all, Italian coffee makers are not dishwasher-safe. Detergents are far too strong and can damage your coffeemaker over time. To avoid this, we recommend that you wash it after each use with clear, hot water and no soap, then leave it to air-dry. What's more, all coffee-maker parts can be removed for thorough cleaning. Every month, however, it's important to maintain the coffee maker, removing any limescale deposits to ensure that the taste remains intact. To do this, simply mix water (bottled if possible) with white vinegar, boil and then rinse thoroughly.
