HIGH PRECISION: OPT FOR THE KITCHEN THERMOMETER!
Why use a kitchen thermometer? The answer is quite simple! Because even if we can manually adjust the temperature of our hobs and ovens, it will never be perfect or exact. And for certain types of cooking, a variation of just a few degrees can be problematic! That's why using a kitchen thermometer guarantees you the best precision for successful cooking of all your dishes, from starters to desserts.
WHICH KITCHEN THERMOMETER TO USE?
Whether you're cooking or baking, each preparation has its own specific cooking time that must be respected. That's why there are so many different types of cooking thermometers, some with their own special features. The best-known is the probe thermometer, an electronic thermometer used for meats, foie gras, chocolate, etc. Also known as a meat thermometer, it can be used to check the core temperature and perfect the cooking of your meats, whether blue, rare or medium-rare. Graduated thermometers, on the other hand, are more often used by pastry chefs to measure the precise baking temperature of sugar. It is known by various names, such as confectioner's thermometer or sugar thermometer. There's also the infrared thermometer, whose special feature is that it never comes into contact with food. It measures only the surface, and is therefore not recommended for use when a core temperature is required. More specific this time, the spatula thermometer is a spatula with a dial at the end of its handle to measure temperature. It is very practical when making a sauce or mixing a preparation, for example. Finally, the oven thermometer is a probe thermometer with a long wire, enabling you to measure the temperature directly in the oven, without having to take the dish out!
