HOW TO COOK WITH A COCOTTE?
All types of cooking are welcome in a cocotte. Simmering is the best-known cooking method: your food cooks in a liquid over a low heat, soaking up all the flavors and leaving the food soft and tender. For poultry, roasting is ideal for tender meat. Braised, steamed... cooking in a casserole is rich and varied! And you'll enjoy all its advantages: gentle, even cooking, preservation of liquids thanks to the airtight lid, long life and easy maintenance! Equip yourself with your knives, cooking utensils and cocotte to prepare your favorite dish and serve it to your guests for a convivial meal!
THE ROUND CAST-IRON COCOTTE
Cast iron is renowned for its durability and sturdiness, making your cocotte a great ally in your kitchen for everyday use! Enamelled cast iron conducts heat perfectly, spreading it evenly and progressively throughout the cooking process. Even when the heat is turned off, your dish will stay warm for a long time, until it's time to serve. This material offers so many advantages that you'll be sure to opt for a cast-iron pot! Some casseroles, such as those by Staub and Invicta, feature a lid with spikes that allow you to continuously moisten your preparations. As a result, your dishes will always be evenly basted, with no need to lift the lid, for consistently fluffy cooking.
