A standard-sharpening steel sharpening steel is recommended for blades that have lost some of their sharpness, but have not completely lost their edge. It's ideal for everyday use, and will restore the cutting edge to knives that no longer cut very well. For even sharper cuts, complete your equipment with a fine or extra-fine sharpening steel! You'll find French sharpening guns like Fischer, German ones like Dick, but also other brands such as Sanelli or Gude. Finally, choose between round or oval wicks, depending on your preference. If you're a beginner and you're hesitating, we recommend an oval wick, which will be a little easier to use.
