Savarin mould

The savarin mold is a pastry-making utensil used to make the traditional savarin cake. Created in 1845 by the Julien brothers, savarin is a French pastry made from baba pastry, molded into a crown shape and soaked in kirsch syrup. So what's the difference with baba au rhum? For the record, the real baba au rhum recipe is a raisin pastry soaked in rum syrup. Savarin, on the other hand, has neither raisins nor rum! Like all pastries, savarin comes in a variety of flavors: strawberry, lemon, chocolate, apple, orange, bergamot... Equip yourself with your 21 cm savarin mold and your pastry utensils to impress your guests with a homemade dessert!
