HOLES ON A PIZZA CUTTER, WHAT FOR?
On a smooth blade, food tends to stick to the blade, and when you're eating pizza, you want the toppings to stay on the pizza! Well, it's been tested and proven: honeycombs improve cutting performance and help food adhere much less to the blade, as they create air bubbles during cutting. Here, the holes on your pizza cutter work in the same way. Now you know that if your pizza knife has PIZZA written all over it, it's not just for show! A good pizza knife has other special features, such as its blade, which must be made of stainless steel and at least 10cm long. The blade must be convex in shape, i.e. rounded with the point upwards, to apply more pressure on the cutting edge and cut slices of pizza with a clean, continuous stroke. Finally, the cutting edge is generally serrated for greater efficiency and ease of dough slicing.
THE PIZZA KNIFE FOR PROFESSIONALS!
The professional pizza cutter has absolutely nothing to do with an ordinary pizza cutter. And for good reason: it doesn't have the same function at all! In fact, it will be used to cut the whole pizza quickly and efficiently. It features a very large blade, between 35 and 50 cm in length, with or without serrated curves. This blade is complemented by two handles at each end for a better grip, enabling the pizza to be cut in a single, clean and precise gesture. In just a few seconds, the pizza maker can cut a freshly baked pizza into 6, 8 or 10 slices before sending it off to be eaten. This professional knife is a must-have for pros, and will be much more practical than a simple knife, scissors or pizza wheel!
