Higonokami knives

Discover Knifeleader's selection of Higonokami folding knives! These Japanese pocket knives will win you over with their originality and efficiency! Considered in Japan as the Opinel in France, this small rustic folding knife was invented at the end of the 19th century, during the Industrial Revolution. This popular model was widely used in everyday life: the all-purpose knife par excellence. The Higonokami knife's construction is simple, even if the materials used are of the highest quality: the blade is made from a core of very hard carbon steel, overlaid with a layer of softer steel. The blade is then enclosed in a steel or brass plate. Its Piedmontese locking system allows you to easily set it in either open or closed position, thanks to the small blade-extending lens available on the top of the handle. The Higonokami pocket knife is extremely sharp, and the tip of the blade is ultra-sharp, so watch your fingers, you've been warned. Its small size means you can take it anywhere, in a pocket or bag, to cut food, packaging, cords...It's equally suited to indoor and outdoor use.
