As we said earlier, a scuba knife is more about safety than food preparation. It's a tool carried by the diver in case he needs to cut something that's in danger. For example, if you find yourself trapped in a fishing net, decide to explore a shipwreck or any other unforeseen event, you'll be ready to react quickly with your scuba knife. No matter what level you're at, it's a must-have in some scuba diving schools. However, it's a good idea to be very careful when using it, to be responsible and to keep it out of the reach of young children to avoid accidental injury.

WHICH SCUBA KNIFE TO CHOOSE?

Seawater is extremely corrosive. Being present in large quantities, salt eventually decomposes all materials with which it comes into contact. To avoid this kind of problem, you can turn to titanium, which is almost entirely rust-resistant, as it contains no carbon, so it cannot oxidize with the salt in seawater. As a result, it's a high-quality material that's a little more expensive than conventional steels. On the other hand, it will require careful maintenance, but will be much more durable over time. Before buying your diver's knife, don't hesitate to look at the type of attachment that suits you best. The calf attachment can accommodate larger models, while the stabilizer vest is better suited to smaller models.
