WHICH SAUCEPAN TO CHOOSE?
Copper saucepans are the oldest and, above all, the most widely used by chefs in restaurants, as copper diffuses heat evenly and quickly. Stainless steel saucepans are the most common, as they are easy to clean and ensure total food hygiene. Aluminium is one of the most practical pans! It's lightweight, easy to use and clean, and has a non-stick coating for non-stick cooking. Last but not least, cast-iron pans are particularly effective for simmering. Cast-iron makes for a heavy utensil, but it also ensures excellent preservation and heat distribution during cooking. In addition to the material, it's also important to consider the size. For a wide variety of uses, it's a good idea to have a range of pan sizes to suit your preparations. It's never been practical to cook large quantities in a small pan (while the reverse is possible, but not necessarily practical)! That's why we recommend two or three different sizes. However, don't forget that the heat source you're cooking on is very important! If you have an induction hob, be sure to check that it can be fitted with an induction pan.
SPACE-SAVING PANS WITH REMOVABLE HANDLES!
Pots and pans generally take up a lot of space in your drawers or cupboards, making it hard to keep them tidy. But there's a simple, practical solution: choose pans with removable handles. You'll no longer have the misfortune of your pan's handle sticking out, as it can be detached and stored next to it or elsewhere. This practicality also brings another advantage: the pan can then be used in the oven without any problem for a 2-in-1 use! And if you're a fan of efficient storage, you can opt for a knife block to store all your kitchen knives!
