Your knives are safe in the Wüsthof Amici block!
This block is made from olive wood: a species known for its great robustness and high density, which reinforces its resistance and makes it very compact. Olive is highly appreciated in the kitchen for its resistance to bacteria, liquids and unpleasant odors, among other things.
Originating in Calabria, this olive wood comes from a sustainable forest where the trees produce little or no fruit, due to their advanced age.
In addition to its antibacterial properties, olive wood is easy to care for: simply apply a little olive oil to the block from time to time to restore its appearance.
The block is adorned with Italian oxblood leather, a top-quality material that brings a beautiful color to your block. Its distinctive stitching adds a much-appreciated design touch!
With this block, you can store your knives safely in your kitchen. It's perfect for your worktop, as your knives are within easy reach. What's more, it's a real eye-catcher in any kitchen, whether modern or traditional!
All slots are 23cm deep, so you can fit knives with blades of up to 23cm. However, the width of the slots is different:
- 2 slots are 2.5cm wide: ideal for paring knives or vegetable knives.
- 2 slots are 5cm wide: suitable for larger blades such as chef's or santoku knives.
- 2 slots are 5.9cm wide and thicker: ideal for a sharpening steel (maximum 1.3cm diameter) or bread knife.
Wüsthof presents here a quality block with a Mediterranean spirit , hence the name of the Amici range: with its warm colors and olive wood, you can almost hear the cicadas singing...
