The American brand Buck is undisputed in theoutdoor world. Its success is due to the careful choice of materials adapted to each situation and its advanced production technologies. Whether amateurs or collectors, lovers of the great outdoors will be satisfied with the performance of the Buck 685 Bucklite Max II Large Guthook 0685BKG knife.
The blade is made of 420HC stainless steel, a metal alloy widely used in cutlery. It is a corrosion-resistant component. What's more, the blade features Paul Bos heat treatment, a famous process that involves heating, cooling and reheating the material until it reaches the desired Rockwell hardness (which is 58HRC). This treatment increases the blade's durability and edge retention.
Note that the blade has a guthook shape, which takes the form of a hook. On the handle side, Buck has opted for rubber, a material known for its non-slip properties. The grip is comfortable, even in rainy weather, and there's no risk of the knife slipping out of your hand.
The knife is full tang. The extension of the blade embedded in the handle (including the tang) runs the full length of the handle. This makes the tool resistant to even the toughest use.
And for ease of carrying, you have the option of a lanyard hole located on the handle. You can also attach it to your belt with the polyester holster provided.
Take care of your blades with our sharpeners and pocket guns!
