Iceland - Legislation on the possession and carrying of knives

General Status:

Iceland has no specific knife legislation publicly available. However, public carrying of knives is discouraged and regulated under general safety laws.

Restrictions:

Carrying knives in public without lawful purpose is prohibited. Knives with aggressive characteristics (combat knives, tactical knives) are treated suspiciously.
