Each bar is meticulously crafted by the passionate and talented craftsman Romain Abeille, who puts all his know-how and passion into making each piece. The process of making each bar takes several days, but the end result is well worth the effort.
Romain selected top-quality flamed ovangkol wood to create this piece. He makes a point of choosing the finest trunks to highlight the unique grain of each piece of wood. The straight, delicate grain of this exotic species lends a subtle elegance. What's more, this hardy wood offers exceptional durability. Its beauty is highly appreciated in the design of home elements such as parquet flooring and staircases.
Flamed wood is extremely rare, and its fibers have been modified, causing them to warp and corrugate. This characteristic is visible on the surface of the bar, where a multitude of small waves can be observed, reminiscent of the movement created when an object falls into the water and disturbs its stillness.
To ensure a flawless finish, Romain Abeille polished each magnet bar to give it a soft-touch texture. What's more, he adds a touch of authenticity and originality by pyrographically etching his handcrafted logo onto the wood.
The powerful neodymium magnets are fixed to the back of the bar and protected by a nickel coating that makes them corrosion-resistant. They are then firmly encapsulated in resin. Each knife slot is equipped with 2 magnets, allowing your knife blade to remain perfectly flat against the magnetic bar, and ensuring excellent hold.
The capacity of this bar is 6 knives.
To secure the magnet bar to the wall, insert fasteners into the two side slots (fastening system not included).
It is possible that the deposit of your blades may leave slight marks on the bar. To maintain your bar and give it a shine, you can use untinted mineral oil for wood, such as Boos Blocks oil, by applying it to the bar.
