It was produced by Romain Abeille, a passionate and talented wood craftsman.

The magnet bar is made from Macassar ebony. Romain finds the most beautiful trunks to work each piece of wood, highlighting its unique grain.

Macassar ebony is a rare exotic species from Indonesia. Considered a precious wood, it has the particularity of being grained in two colors: alternating black and brown. Macassar ebony has a deep predominance that brings out the lighter streaks very well, offering an unprecedented contrast to the bar.

The rarity of Macassar ebony means that it is used today in only a few specific fields, such as luxury furniture manufacture. Its fine, uniform grain and hardness give it the appearance of an elegant wood made to last.

To give the bar a perfect finish, Romain Abeille has polished it, giving it a pleasantly soft feel. He has also pyrographed his logo onto the bar, adding to its originality and authenticity.

Powerful neodymium magnets are placed on the back of the bar. Stainless steel, they are nickel-coated before being cast in resin. Each knife slot features 2 magnets to ensure that the blade is perfectly pressed against the bar.

The n°5 Macassar ebony magnet bar contains 6 slots for your knives.

To secure the bar to your wall, it has two side slots for fasteners (the fastening system is not supplied with the bar).

Placing your knives on the bar may leave fine marks, which is normal. If you wish, you can oil the bar from time to time with a non-stained special wood oil, such as Boos Blocks oil. This will nourish it and give it a shine.
