Legnoart Rialto cutting board in Thermo ash + gutter

The Legnoart brand was born in a small village in northern Italy in 1946. Today, Legnoart is one of Italy's leading brands of designer wooden kitchen accessories. Each range of cutting boards is made in Italy in collaboration with renowned designers who combine Italian design, elegance and, of course, functionality.

These cutting boards from the Rialto range are the fruit of a collaboration with Daniel Eltner. The wood selected is treated ash: the wood is heated to temperatures between 180°c and 230°c, which transforms the characteristics of the ash, making it stronger and more resistant. As a result of this heat treatment, the wood is darker, giving it a warmer design. It's 100% environmentally friendly, resisting water, temperature variations and the bacteria that wander into your kitchen. Note that each piece of wood is different, so heat treatment brings a color that can be more or less dark depending on the case.

The manufacturer attaches great importance to the quality of its planks and finishes. No chemical processes are used for finishing: only vegetable or mineral bio-substances are used, and every little flaw is manually corrected by a craftsman board by board, making them unique! Board processing always takes place in an air-conditioned room, to avoid thermal shock that could cause cracking once the manufacturing process is complete. All stages are meticulously controlled to guarantee the highest quality.

These Legnoart Rialtoplanks with their original shape will fit in with kitchens of all styles, whether red, black, white, modern or vintage. If you're carving a roast, for example, or want to catch the juice from your tomatoes, the gutter allows you to recover the juices from your preparations. The gutter also makes for clean cuts without the juice dripping everywhere!
