Choose the elegant Salamandra Hela folding knife in cocobolo and set off on your adventure!
The knife is made in Spain by the craftsmen of Salamandra, a cutlery company based in Albacete, the Spanish capital of this art. The Hela model features an 11cm cocobolo handle.
Cocobolo is a noble species of exotic wood whose hue varies from orange to reddish-brown, with darker, irregular grain. As cocobolo is a natural wood, each knife is unique. Cocobolo is a very robust wood. It also withstands extreme temperatures and external aggressions such as water. But be careful! Be careful not to immerse or soak it deliberately.
This knife also features a Drop Point profile blade in 1.4116 stainless steel, a highly corrosion-resistant alloy. Forged at 1200°C, then cooled and hardened, the steel has a hardness of 58HRC on the Rockwell scale. Such hardness guarantees easy daily maintenance and sharpening.
The Flipper system opens the blade. Simply pull the pin on the back of the handle to tip the blade open. The blade is locked in place by a forced inner catch: a spring located between the knife's plates holds the blade in the open position. Thanks to this notch, you can also fold the blade by exerting pressure on its back.
This superb folding knife comes with an ecru leather storage pouch. So you can safely store and transport your knife!
