This creates an extremely sharp, long-lasting edge. Ceramic is also very fine and offers a very smooth finish.
TheWüsthof Classic Ikon 3050388001 sharpener is generally used in 2 simple steps:
1 - The coarse diamondsharpener is used for the first use on a knife. This step straightens the edge (dull or damaged). The sharpening angle is approximately 17°.
2 - Next, you can use the ceramicsharpener. This compartment produces a finer result. The result is a sharper, smoother blade with a razor-sharp edge.
The blade is guided along the V-shapedsharpener at a well-defined angle to ensure even, precise sharpening.
