The diamond wheel has a fine grain, a characteristic that will enable you to sharpen your knives without denaturing the blade. The fine grit gently sharpens the steel for a high-quality result, without losing any more steel than necessary on the blade.

Tormek has carefully studied the composition of this wheel to achieve rapid abrasion and extended wheel life.

The small wheel on the opposite side to the grinding wheel is made from polishing paste. It will enable you to finish sharpening your knives to eliminate small imperfections and give your blade optimum cutting performance. This is a vital step, as it increases the sharpness of your blade tenfold!

Unlike most grinding wheels on the market, which overheat the steel (and therefore reduce cutting quality), the diamond wheel on the Tormel T-2 sharpens more slowly (one minute is still enough to sharpen your knife) without damaging the steel.

Which knives can be sharpened?

All Japanese and European steel knives. A sturdy clamp holds your knife at the angle of your choice. A powerful magnet recovers tiny steel particles.

Maximum thickness: 3.5mm
