Your knives don't cut as well as they used to? KnifeLeader.eu offers you this professional-quality Wüsthof 3049702120 sharpening steel . This sharpening accessory lets you quickly and easily sharpen all your dull kitchen knives without damaging them.
It features a standard-grain oval wick for sharpening blades that have lost some of their edge. The wick measures 20cm. As such, it is best suited to knives with a blade shorter than 20cm. As a general rule, the shaft of your sharpening gun should be longer than the knife you wish to sharpen.
This sharpening steel is designed for safe and easy use. Its ergonomic handle provides a firm, comfortable grip for precise, effortless work.
To use, hold the sharpener firmly in your dominant hand, and the knife in the other. Next, place the base of the blade on the gun at a 20° angle. Start sliding the blade along the shaft without forcing it. Make sure you maintain a constant angle of about 20°, as if you were cutting a thin slice of the Sharpening steel. Repeat this action about 6-8 times to obtain a very sharp blade.
To maintain the blade, you can either wash it with water and then wipe it dry. Or wipe with a soft cloth to remove steel waste.
