The Wildsteer Kraken is a piece of equipment specially designed for special operations missions. It was developed by French cutlery manufacturer Wildsteer in collaboration with Commando HUBERT. This is a highly qualified and internationally renowned unit of the French Navy. The entire kit is used by all French Navy commandos. This testifies to its high level of quality and performance for demanding military missions.
The Wildsteer Kraken knife is derived from the WT4XL Commando model. It was previously sold exclusively to CPA10. However, the Kraken has been upgraded with a longer blade and a slightly curved handle for a better grip, while retaining a reduced weight. The knife has inherited several features from its predecessor, such as serration on part of the blade, an anti-reflective coating, a more pronounced glass-breaking pommel and a more pronounced guard.
The Kraken 's blade is made of Sandvik 14C28N stainless steel, with a Rockwell hardness of 59-60HRC. This composition makes the knife corrosion-resistant, easy to sharpen and offers excellent edge retention.
The handle is also made of stainless steel. It is wrapped in black braided 550 paracord . This design provides improved grip for the user, enabling a secure and comfortable hold.
The Wildsteer Kraken knife comes with a sheath featuring double retention by silent-bloc and an elastic strap, as well as a flared opening. The latter allows the knife to be inserted silently in either direction. The sheath is compatible with all thigh plates, including 5.11, GK, Safariland and Black Hawk. It also comes with a multi-position clip. This allows the knife to be worn in a variety of ways. When attached to the "thigh plate" side, it can be used with a belt up to 5cm wide. By placing the clip on the wide part of the other side, and using the special screws supplied, the sheath can be compactly attached to MOLLE loops.
From now on, choose quality with the Wildsteer Kraken KRA3213 knife!
