The Wildsteer Skarabé is a version inspired by the Skelet. This model is made in collaboration with a GIGN branch. Wildsteer knives are 100% made in France, in a region situated between Thiers, the cutlery capital , and Saint-Étienne, the design capital. The brand draws its inspiration from the manufacturing and artistic techniques of these two cities, while integrating modern manufacturing methods into the design of its knives.
The blade of the Wildsteer Skarabe knife is made ofN690 stainless steel, with a half finger guard. The steel used is corrosion-resistant and has a Rockwell hardness of 56-57HRC. This ensures good edge retention and the knife remains easy to sharpen. The blade has a black epoxy coating that improves its resistance to corrosion.
The Désert paracord handle offers a comfortable grip. The rear knob is equipped with a glass breaker and bottle opener. What's more, the small teeth on the back of the blade provide an excellent grip and hold the thumb firmly in place.
The Wildsteer Skarabé comes with an ambidextrous POM (polyoxymethylene) sheath with adjustable retention. To remove the knife from the sheath, simply apply pressure to the top of the sheath with your thumb. This sheath can be attached directly to a thigh plate, as well as to models from brands such as 5.11, GK, Safariland and Black Hawk.
Included in the box, this holster is accompanied by a reinforced tactiprene belt loop with several holes. This means you can wear it on your belt in any configuration, whether right- or left-handed.
