Following a request from a GIGN branch, the French brand Wildsteer designed the Scorpion model with the specific needs of the profession in mind.
The Wildsteer Scorpion knifefeatures an anti-reflective black blade with a black epoxy coating. This coating also enhances its resistance to corrosion. The blade adopts a tanto shape, which stands out for its perforating efficiency. The knife has been cryogenically tempered to harden the blade, achieving a Rockwell hardness of 59-50HRC. This technique preserves the edge and facilitates sharpening.
The knife's handle has been designed to offer different grip options to the user. The ring at the back allows a secure grip with the index finger, thanks to a 25mm inner diameter.
The Wildsteer Scorpion knife comes with a Kydex sheath, which can be attached to MOLLE loops of different widths. The sheath features eyelets for attaching a lanyard around the neck, or for attaching to a MOLLE loop using the rider supplied.
Edouard de BUYER, an archer, passionate blacksmith and trained engineer, founded Wildsteer in 2004. Thanks to the innovation and exceptional features of its first knife, also named Wildsteer, the company quickly earned a solid reputation in France, Europe and the USA.
Wildsteer knives are produced in France. The company is based in a region between Thiers, famous for its cutlery expertise, and Saint-Étienne, renowned for its design expertise. The brand draws inspiration from the craftsmanship and artistic techniques of these two cities, while using modern manufacturing methods to innovate in the design of its knives.
