Actilam S4 folding knife forged blade steel/carbon fiber handle 11cm

Actilam knives were created by Pascal Jodas, a passionate engineer, with the help of Jean-Pierre Sucheras, a cutler twice elected Meilleur Ouvrier de France. Together, they designed the S4 model, the successor to the Actilam T3 range. Following the success of the latter, they decided to launch the S4 collection, a knife equipped with a unique, patented locking system. All Actilam knives are made in Thiers , France .

The blade of this Actilam S4 folding knife is made of Sandvik forged steel, a Swedish steel also known as 14C28N. It is composed of carbon (0.6%) to improve blade hardness, molybdenum, chromium (14%) for corrosion resistance, and nitrogen, an important element for the creators of Actilam. Nitrogen makes the blade even harder (rather like carbon), while remaining stainless. What's more, the blade is extremely easy to sharpen.

The inserts are made of steel and carbon fiber, andthe shape of the handle is sober and modern. The clip is useful for carrying your knife in a jeans pocket or bag, so you can take it out into nature for a picnic, for example. The cylindrical locking system on S4 knives is unique and patented. To fold the blade, simply press the button, and the pin that locks the blade shifts, unlocking the system.

To ensure flawless quality control, all checks are carried out in-house. This knife combines all the qualities sought after by users: a clean cut, easy sharpening and a long-lasting edge.
