The blade of the Esee 6 6PDE-001 survival knife is made of 1095 carbon steel. With a hardness of 55-57HRC, this steel is both efficient and easy to sharpen, even in difficult conditions. The main challenge with 1095 is its tendency to corrode, but thanks to Esee's Traction coating, your blade remains protected, prolonging its durability and reliability.
Care tip: as carbon steel is oxidizable, we recommend cleaning the blade by hand and drying it immediately after use. Over time, you may notice a subtle fading of the blade's color, which is a natural change due to frequent use (reaction to the acidity of products, exposure to air and its variations in humidity, etc.). To minimize this phenomenon, regular maintenance with mineral oil is recommended.
As for the handle of this Esee 6 knife, it is designed in G10 3D for superior ergonomics. This innovation responds to user demand for greater comfort and control. Far from traditional, flat, angular handles, this 3D handle offers a firm, comfortable grip, thanks to its strategic gripping grooves. This ensures precise, safe handling, even in wet or muddy environments. The versatility of the Esee 6 with this improved handle puts it on a par with traditional bushcraft knives, so much appreciated by outdoor enthusiasts.
Your Esee 6PDE-001 comes with a high-quality zytel sheath, complete with steel belt clip . This makes it easy to carry and store on the move. What's more, the sheath's eyelets make it even easier to carry.
With the Esee 6 6PDE-001, you've got a high-performance, reliable tool that won't let you down!
We also have a wide range of folding knives for you to choose from!
