La Demoiselle Georgette is a unique piece of cutlery imagined and designed by Jean-Louis Orengo.
A specialist in ichnology (the interpretation of animal footprints) and a lover of nature, Jean-Louis Orengo came up with the idea of designing this practical tool for his outdoor outings.
This is why this cutlery combines 3 functions, to avoid multiplying the utensils in your backpack, while avoiding disposable plastic cutlery. Here are the functions available on the Georgette:
- Fork, thanks to the toothed part available at the end of the utensil: it enables you to prick and grip food to bring it to your mouth.
- Spoon: the Georgette's hollow surface is perfect for holding liquids such as soups or juices.
- Knife: even though it has no teeth, the Georgette can cut soft foods with its rounded side.
Its 16cm length allows you to grasp it easily, for a pleasant grip and marked control of the utensil. Its shape is inspired by the study of animal paws (bear, mole...), which explains its natural ergonomics.
It is made from 18/10 stainless steel with a shiny finish, a durable, oxidation-resistant material. You can put it through the dishwasher to save time, while taking care not to overload your cutlery basket.
You can slip the Georgette into your backpack, but it also equips Michelin-starred restaurants (for a unique presentation of your amuses-bouche and cocktails), and is suitable for children as well as adults, and also for people losing their independence. It's suitable for everyone! In fact, it won the Lépine competition in 2016, and was awarded a gold medal at the International Invention Fair in Geneva in 2017.
What's more, owning a Georgette means helping to finance 2 scientific projects, including the creation of an international conservatory of tracks!
