The Herbertz 578712 features an AISI 420 stainless steel blade,a chromium martensitic stainless steel grade. This metal alloy is renowned for its anti-corrosion properties. An anti-reflective blackwashed finish gives the knife its dark color. The smooth blade has a concave cutting edge. This part, called Hollow grind, ensures good cutting properties. The remarkable skeleton handle is also in stainless steel, but with a tan nylon coating . All parts are assembled with rivets.
This knife has not one, not two, but 3 opening systems available! There's a double thumb stud and a thumb hole on the blade. But there's also the option of using the famous Carson flipper. The mechanism is a bit special: opening and closing are controlled by the clip at the end. To close the knife, the end of the handle must be pressed together.
