Description

Over its 70-year history, the KA-BAR USMC 1217 knife has become a true legend. This model was used by the United States Marine Corps. Since then, it has become an iconic piece of outdoor equipment. The knife has often been copied, and many renowned manufacturers have produced a version of this model.

The blade is made of 1095 Cro-Van carbon steel. This is an extremely robust metal alloy. However, it remains susceptible to corrosion. Fortunately, it is coated with a protective layer. This black coating increases its resistance to oxidation and facilitates maintenance.

To ensure the durability of your knife, be sure to wash the blade by hand and wipe it dry after each use. We also recommend regular application of maintenance oil. With the right care, your KA-BAR knife will last you a lifetime.

The handle is made from stacked leather. This handle sits comfortably in your palm, even in icy weather. It features a guard to prevent your fingers from getting on the cutting edge during intensive use.
