The opening system is manual, with a flipper protruding from the handle in the folded position. Simply pull on this little lug on the back to deploy the blade quickly with one hand. For locking, the blade locks automatically thanks to an integrated liner-lock. This is a small, spring-loaded blade that comes into contact with the handle to lock the blade in the open position.
