Unlike the original Static folding knife, this new model features a glass-filled nylon handle on the front for better grip. For the reverse side, Kershaw has kept the stainless steel, which is highly resistant to various shocks. A steel pivot is also added to the handle for a pleasing look.

As for the blade, the cleaver style has been retained for incredible sturdiness when working outdoors. Like its predecessor , it is made of 8Cr13MoV . This means you get a knife that's easy to sharpen, with an excellent cutting edge. The Stonewashed finish on the blade hides scratches during use.

Bring the blade into working position by pulling on the Flipper protruding from the handle. The knife opens quickly with Kershaw's SpeedSafe assisted opening. The lock is engaged as soon as the knife is opened. For this model, a Frame-Lock is installed to lock the blade in use, offering you a more secure experience.

The knife is easy to carry thanks to a pocket clip screwed to the back of the handle. A lanyard hole is also available for attaching a small cord. This means it's always close at hand.
