LionSteel knives are made in the cutlery town of Maniago, Italy. The Lionsteel SR11 knife won the 2017 Best Knife award at the world's largest cutlery show, the Blade Show held in the USA every year.
The SR11 collection was designed by Michele Pensato aka Molletta. The droppoint-shaped blade measures 9.4cm and is made of Sleipner steel (steel from Sweden). This steel promises a long-lasting sharp edge in intensive use. With a hardness of 61HRC, it can be sharpened to a razor-sharp edge using very fine-grained stones. As Sleipner steel is oxidizable, it is necessary to maintain it after each use if you wish to avoid traces of oxidation.
The knife's handle measures 12cm and is made of titanium monobloc. This is due to the innovative SOLID technology developed by the brand. The handle is carved from a single piece of titanium, thus gaining in quality. It features a reversible pocket clip (practical for left- and right-handed users). At the end of the handle, a glass-breaking pick is the little extra!
The knife is available in 3 colors: Bronze handle, Black handle + blade, Metallic gray handle.
The flipper offers one-handed opening, and the IKBS (ball-bearing) system guarantees unrivalled fluidity when opening! The knife locks with the framelock system, a mechanism that offers maximum security.
