Use and Care

A few simple steps can help keep your meal at the right temperature:

• Before filling the bento box, pour in very hot or cold water, depending on how you plan to use it. Close it for at least 30 seconds, then press the button on the lid to release the pressure before emptying it.
• Then add a very hot or very cold dish, ideally filling the container to the top. A well-filled container retains its temperature better.
• To reheat a dish, use a saucepan for more even heating.
• Close the bento box immediately and screw the lid on tightly. Avoid opening it before mealtime to minimize temperature fluctuations.
• Food cut into small pieces spreads out more easily and maintains a more even temperature.
