Description

Its handle
The handle is made ofoak, a very compact, hard and resistant wood, especially to insects and fungi. Oak wood is a noble natural product that will give your knife a long life! It's also a highly resistant wood (corrosion, humidity, shocks)! The handle adapts easily to your hand for outdoor cutting. Its rustic style makes it even more authentic!
The blade
Made of Sandvik stainless steel, the blade is solid and resistant to all kinds of tests: corrosion, temperature variations and humidity! The 0.4% carbon content of this Sandvik steel ensures a sharp cutting edge! The shape of the blade makes it easy to pierce objects such as belts.
Lock
The Viroblac safety ring, invented in 1955 by Marcel Opinel, is the star feature of Opinel knives: it ensures safe use and transport of the knife.
This ring locks the blade when folded or unfolded.
Opening
The Nail Nick opening is common to all Opinel knives! Simply slide your fingernail into the notch on the blade to pull it out of the handle (the ferrule must be open), and you're done!
