Hiking friends, the Salamandra folding knife with cocobolo handle is made for you!
Salamandra cutlery is located in Albacete, Spain. It designs handcrafted folding knives using top-of-the-range materials.
The knife handle measures 10cm and is made of cocobolo wood. This precious exotic wood ranges in color from orange to reddish-brown. Its dark, irregular grain makes each knife unique.
Cocobolo is extremely hard-wearing, resisting external aggression and extreme temperatures. An eyelet at the end of the handle allows you to attach a lanyard.
The blade measures 8cm and is made of 1.4116 stainless steel. This alloy is forged at 1200°C before being cooled. After cooling, it is hardened to 58HRC on the Rockwell scale.
This steel is easy to maintain on a daily basis. Reinforced with molybdenum and vanadium, it resists impact and corrosion.
To open the blade of your knife, simply place your fingernail in the notch provided. This is the Nail Nick system. The blade is locked by means of a forced detent for safe use.
Salamandra has thought of everything, delivering the knife with an elegant leather pouch. Easy transport and secure storage guaranteed!
