I have been sharpening knives, chisels, wood chisels, razors and many other things for years, I own 5 high quality Japanese stones, grain size 600, 1000, 3000, 4000, 6000, I was missing the 8000, it was for me an essential purchase for finishing, I am very satisfied with this purchase but only put 4 stars because the stone is glued to its support, which is not very practical, nevertheless I recommend if you are a pro in the thing........
