About SOG

SOG specializes in the manufacture of quality knives, survival tools and outdoor equipment. The American company was founded in 1986 by Spencer Frazer, an engineer with a passion for cutlery.

The company prides itself on offering innovative products, created with advanced technologies. SOG products feature innovations such as assisted opening mechanisms and high-quality materials such as CPM 35VN steel.

A knife for outdoor use

The knife blade is made of 440C steel. This is a solid, reliable material that has been strengthened by a Cryo treatment. In addition, a matte black coating is applied to the blade for enhanced corrosion resistance. This finish also prevents reflections on the steel surface.

The semi-serrated cutting edge of the SOG Recondo features a Clip point profile. This enables the knife to be used for precision work. All the while, its overall cutting capacity is robust enough for heavier tasks.

As for the handle, it is made from a layer of rubber. This material provides a pleasant feel and a solid grip. The Recondo FX is very easy to handle. It is grippy in the hand thanks to the finger grooves and the texture of the handle.

The handle of the SOG knife is equipped with a large finger guard to offer additional protection to the user.

Finally, the SOG Recondo FX knife comes with a MOLLE-compatible sheath for safe and secure transport.
