Very good results even with large nuts

Good grip. Crack nuts effortlessly with this nutcracker. To crack large nuts , rather than removing the spring to enlarge the opening (which would damage the tool), turn the nut over in the nutcracker.

I wanted to get rid of the inner spring so that the nutcracker would open wider for larger nuts. So I spread it wide (with the strength of my female arms) but unfortunately I broke the central hinge in two! to my great displeasure. The inside is a material that looks like concrete, it's strange.
In short, I don't recommend 1) because of the size 2) because of the rather cheap material.
I'm not going to return it because of shipping costs. I classify this nutcracker as an unfortunate experience.
