The Zero Tolerance 0006BLK is a large survival knife with the quality of workmanship that is the hallmark of the Zero Tolerance brand. This model is designed for use in a variety of situations: wilderness survival, camping, summer projects and professional use. The 0006 takes its inspiration from the ZT-9 Bayonet, a design originally created by Mick Strider. The name "0006" also refers to the knife's characteristic 6-inch blade, directly inherited from the ZT-9.
The Zero Tolerance 0006BLK survival knife is a full tang knife with a blade made from CPM 3V steel. This is an American steel renowned for its remarkable strength and Rockwell hardness (59-61HRC). CPM 3V has good edge retention and is easy to sharpen. Although this steel is not totally rustproof by nature, Zero Tolerance has added a black Cerakote coating to enhance its corrosion resistance. What's more, this coating gives the knife a beautiful finish. On the back of the blade is the jimping (thumb rest) for better control, whether you're wearing gloves or not.
Made from black G10, the handle features a non-slip texture for a comfortable grip. The knife also features a protective guard and pommel, both in stainless steel.
The 0006BLK survival knife comes with a black Kydex sheath. The sheath clicks into place when the knife is inserted. The snap buckle ensures that the knife remains stable in the sheath. In addition, strategically placed openings allow the sheath to be attached to a MOLLE-compatible jacket or backpack. We can't help but appreciate this versatility!
