The capacity corresponds to the traditional size of an Italian espresso cup, not that of a large mug. The 3-cup model is perfect for breaks enjoyed alone or with a partner. The 6-cup model is ideal for sharing coffee and satisfying those big cravings for a caffeinated treat!
Fill the boiler with water up to the level of the safety valve, without covering it. Add ground coffee specifically suited for a Moka pot, without packing it down. Heat over low or medium heat, then turn off the heat as soon as the coffee has risen into the upper chamber.
This coffee maker is suitable for use on gas, electric, and glass-ceramic stovetops. It works with induction cooktops only when used with the dedicated Bialetti induction plate. Let it cool before disassembling it, and rinse each part with clean water. Hand washing is required: it is not dishwasher-safe.
