The Claude Dozorme cutlery house, based in Auvergne, near Thiers, has been promoting its remarkable expertise in folding knives since 1902. The company has been awarded the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Company) label, the ultimate recognition of its ancestral craftsmanship and 100% French production.

This knife is part of the Le Thiers Liner Lock family. As the name suggests, liner lock technology, also known as the "lock plate mechanism", has been integrated as the opening and closing system. It's a system that's easy to disengage and safe to use, as the lock plate locks the blade open by springing it back into place. It's this ultra-functional design that has made it so popular the world over, giving the knife an aesthetically pleasing appearance. The Le Thiers Liner Lock collection also features handles in original, authentic materials ranging from light-colored horn to olive wood.

The X50CrMoV15 steel alloy used to manufacture the blade, , is of the highest quality. It contains 0.5% carbon (C), 15% chromium (Cr) for its rust-resistance, as well as small amounts of molybdenum (Mo) and vanadium (V) to provide sufficient flexibility for easy sharpening. Last but not least, this ingenious composition enables us to achieve a hardness of 56-57 HRC on the Rockwell scale, ensuring resistance to impact.

On the handle side, this pocket knife is clad in vallernia wood, a member of the rosewood family. Vallernia is a hard, moisture-resistant wood whose mechanical and aesthetic advantages have made it a highly prized natural material since the 18th century. A pin on the inside of the handle doubles as a belt clip or bill holder, making this knife even easier to carry.
