The Mauviel M'Passion copper skimmer is indispensable for everyday use and for making delicious jam!

This skimmer is made from copper, an excellent heat conductor that also preserves heat perfectly. When it comes into contact with your jams, the skimmer doesn't make them cold, so they continue to cook evenly. What's more, the sugar in the jam prevents the copper from oxidizing, so you don't have to tin the skimmer.

The perforated surface of the skimmer has a rectangular shape measuring 10 x 14 cm. This size enables you to skim a good quantity of foam from the surface of your jams in a short space of time. The surface has numerous perforations that allow the jam to drain perfectly into the jam pan.

A superb brass handle completes the skimmer. It's long enough to avoid any risk of burns when skimming. Its flat shape provides real comfort when handling it, especially as it is firmly attached to the skimmer by rivets.

The handle is also curved, making it easy to store on your utensil bar. You can, however, store it in your utensil jar if you prefer.

The skimmer should be cleaned by hand using a soft sponge and washing-up liquid. Avoid chlorine, bleach and all detergents that leave indelible marks on the copper. Copper will also naturally change color on contact with heat. We recommend applying a little copper polishing paste to revive its shine.
