The CRKT + Large pocket knife is a sober but very interesting knife in its design. It was designed by Matthew Lerch, who has collaborated with CRKT. Matthew Lerch started out as a watchmaker and jeweller, before diversifying and bringing all his skills linking art and mechanics to CRKT.
The black handle of the CRKT + Large is made of fiberglass-reinforced nylon, giving it excellent shock resistance. Its overall slender shape makes the knife very practical to hold, use and transport. Quick to open, light (only 80g) despite its size, and easy to carry, this knife is a daily ally!
The steel used for the blade of this knife is 8Cr13MoV. This is a reliable steel that gives the knife avery good cutting edge, with a very appreciable durability. It is also corrosion-resistant, which is a major advantage.
The blade deploys via a flipper assisted by the IKBS(IKOMA KORTH BEARING SYSTEM) ball-bearing mechanism. This system, originally intended for use on butterfly knives, is now used on many folding knives due to its great versatility. The blade is locked by a traditional Liner-Lock.
The CRKT + Large knife is ideal for everyday use. It's a quality knife at a very attractive price!
