This elegant pocket knife was designed by retired Sergeant Major and designer Darrin Sirois. As a Green Beret, he expects a knife to take a beating. He sketched this model with that in mind, bringing to life the CRKT RASP, which stands for "Rescue and Special Purpose"; in the end, it defines him perfectly. This knife is a product of Forged By War, a program that enables veterans to take on challenges by forging steel. Part of the profits are donated to the charity of their choice.
The CRKT RASP features a WharnCliffe-shaped blade resembling the Sheepsfoot, but with a longer curve and slightly curved cutting edge, making it more effective for woodworking. It is made from AUS-8 steel, a material that is efficient yet easy to maintain and highly resistant to oxidation. It is attached to a 420J2 stainless steel handle, an element much appreciated in cutlery for its toughness against corrosion. The handle has been shaped to fit the contours of the palm for comfortable handling.
The RASP is equipped with a double opening system: either via thethumbstud on the blade, or via the back flipper. The Frame Lock is the mechanism that locks the knife in the open position.
There's also a pocket clip on the handle for easy carrying.
