The mug is made by craftsmen using time-honored techniques. The first phase is casting in a traditional plaster mold. The necessary setting time is assessed by the craftsmen and their expert eye: they take into account atmospheric hazards and the quality of the ceramic paste. The second phase istrimming: the craftsman delicately removes the seam left by the mould's joints, while revealing the cup's lip. Finally, theglazing phase consists of immersing the cup in the glaze, with just the slightest support from the craftsman's fingertips.
