The cup is made near Lyon by craftsmen who apply ancestral know-how. The first step in the manufacturing process is to pour the ceramic paste into a traditional plaster mold. The craftsman uses his expertise to estimate the setting time required, depending on atmospheric variations and the quality of the ceramic paste. The second stage isdeburring, where the craftsman draws the cup's lip while gently erasing the seam left by the mold's joint line. The final stage isglazing. The artisan immerses the cup in the glaze, supporting it with his fingertips.
