The other 2 slots are designed to gently finish the sharpener. They will remove the steel micro-waste generated by the diamond wheels, and ensure razor-sharp sharpness for your knives.

For regular blade maintenance, ceramic wheels give you optimum results in a short space of time, while avoiding the need to over-sharpen with diamond wheels.
