The Buck Pro 791 Range Elite folding knife features a CPM MagnaCut blade, an aluminum handle, and a mechanism designed for EDC!
Compact when closed, sturdy in action, and easy to operate with one hand, it’s perfect for both outdoor activities and everyday tasks.
MagnaCut and aluminum: a winning combination
With its 9-cm blade made of CPM MagnaCut steel, this EDC knife offers an excellent balance of edge retention, durability, corrosion resistance, and ease of sharpening. Developed by Crucible Industries, this modern stainless steel is particularly prized for its versatility. Its satin finish adds a understated and elegant touch, while its drop-point profile is well-suited for a wide range of common cutting tasks.
The 11.6-cm handle is made of aluminum, a lightweight, rigid material that’s comfortable to hold. Its design is engineered to provide a stable grip during everyday use.

Thumbstud-assisted deployment
Thanks to its thumb stud, the knife can be opened quickly with one hand. The thumb rests on the designated area and propels the blade into position. This design eliminates unnecessary movements and proves practical when you need to keep your other hand free.
The thumb stud also contributes to a stable grip. The opening remains smooth and controlled, aided by the phosphor bronze washers that reduce friction and make the movement more fluid. The thumb stud’s placement allows for comfortable use by both right- and left-handed users.
Blade Retention with the Crossbar Lock
The Crossbar Lock secures the blade once it is extended. An internal bar runs through the handle and locks against the heel of the blade, preventing it from folding back during use. To release the mechanism, simply activate the two controls located on the sides of the handle, then slowly close the blade.
Usage Tips
Use the blade for cutting tasks typical of pocket knives: cardboard, rope, food, or small outdoor tasks. Avoid twisting, using the knife as a lever, or cutting materials that are too hard. After use, wipe the blade with a soft cloth, especially after contact with moisture or food. Clean the handle with a slightly damp cloth, then dry it immediately. A drop of suitable oil can be applied to the pivot if the mechanism becomes less smooth.
