The Buck790 Mini Range Elite knife slips easily into a pocket without adding any extra weight!
This pocket folding knife features a compact design, high-quality steel, and smooth, everyday performance. Whether you’re opening a package, preparing a rope, or heading out for an outdoor adventure, it’s always ready to help without turning your pocket into a toolbox.
A masterpiece of ingenuity
The drop-point blade with a smooth edge measures 6.5 cm long and is 2.2 mm thick. Its satin finish gives it a sleek and refined look. It’s made from CPM Magnacut, a stainless steel developed to combine several qualities that are rarely balanced to the same degree: good edge retention, excellent corrosion resistance, durability, and ease of sharpening. Its metallurgical structure limits the formation of excessive carbides, resulting in a durable blade that is easy to maintain.
The handle measures 9 cm when closed and extends to 15.8 cm with the blade open. Made of aluminum, it combines lightness, rigidity, and a comfortable grip. This material ensures a sturdy knife without adding unnecessary weight.

An innovative system
The thumb stud allows the blade to be deployed without setting the knife down or using both hands. By applying pressure to this feature, the user triggers the opening mechanism and can guide the blade naturally. This feature proves useful while camping, in the workshop, or for tasks requiring a quick response.
The thumb stud also improves control by providing a stable grip. The phosphor bronze washers facilitate the blade’s movement and contribute to a smoother opening action. The mechanism can be operated from either side with the appropriate grip.
The Crossbar Lock in Practice
The Crossbar Lock system secures the blade when the knife is open. An internal bar rests against the heel of the blade to prevent any closing movement during use. To fold the knife, operate both side levers, then guide the blade back into the handle while controlling its movement.
Tips for Use
Use the blade for tasks suited to its size: cutting string, opening cardboard boxes, preparing simple meals, or light outdoor work. Avoid twisting the blade or forcing it to cut. After use, clean the blade with a soft cloth, dry it thoroughly, and apply a small drop of oil to the pivot pin if necessary. Do not put it in the dishwasher. Regularly check that the clip is tight and that the locking mechanism is working properly.
